Correctly aligned and regularly checked machines save a lot of operating and maintenance costs. Conventional methods for shaft alignment, such as the bevel rule, feeler gauge or dial indicator, are very time-consuming.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"alert alert-info\" style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Similarly, roller alignment using a theodolite requires days of production downtime. Paper machines must be precisely adjusted to the requirements of the paper type. After servicing or replacing a motor in the press, the alignment of the motor and cylinder shafts must be checked. Although cardan shafts compensate for parallel displacement, angular displacement must be within the manufacturer's specific tolerance, otherwise the cross joints will wear out too quickly. An unplanned shutdown costs a lot of production time, in addition to the high costs of losing the cardan shaft. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In addition to cardan shaft alignment, roller parallelism alignment systems are also used. Similarly, laser systems are used to measure and optimise the geometry of the machine and component, for example:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rotary shaft alignment.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Flatness.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rectitude.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Alineacion_de_ejes_en_el_sector_impresion_rotativa\"><\/span><b>Shaft alignment in the rotary printing sector<\/b><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Printing machines are often found at the end of the production chain. It is not uncommon for them to contribute significantly to the visual perception of the final product, which is why special attention is paid to quality in the printing process.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"alert alert-warning\" style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A precisely printed image is of great importance in many areas of everyday life. Printing machines are used, for example, in the manufacture of newspapers, packaging and decorations. Today, newspapers are produced using at least four basic colours in the offset process.<\/div>\n<div class=\"alert alert-info\" style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In packaging printing, as many as 10 or more colours are used on a single gravure or flexographic printing machine. To reliably achieve the required printing accuracy as well as folding and winding, roller parallelism is a key factor.<\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Winder drives can be implemented in printing machines using cardan shafts, in which the drive motors are often located on separate foundations. Due to the loads incurred when inserting tonne-weight web rolls, the winders change their position relative to their drives over time. Repeatedly checking the alignment of the drive sections can prevent wear on cardan shafts and thus avoid unplanned downtime.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When printing with solvents, it is necessary to recover the solvents from the exhaust air. For this reason, the alignment of drive shafts and driven shafts in the motor and pump units in the solvent recovery area must be regularly checked and corrected using laser-optical measurement
