This requires a change of strategy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When we mention a change of strategies it can be difficult to do, especially in plants, where the dominant culture is the \"this is how we have always done it\" mentality.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The forces driving change must be strong enough to overcome the inevitable reaction. The factors driving the decision making to deploy predictive technologies for industrial facility maintenance are the desire to:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Reduce operational costs,<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Reduce maintenance costs, and<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The need to improve uptime.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There are still maintenance managers who are not taking the time to justify what they are achieving in terms of ROI with the use of predictive technologies. And many are not even showing their superiors what they are achieving in terms they can understand.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The truth is that there are many technicians in <\/span><a href=\"\/\/tecnologiaparalaindustria.com\/en\/key-aspects-for-evaluating-your-predictive-maintenance-strategy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><b>predictive maintenance<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The work of the competent authorities is doing an impressive job with the <\/span><a href=\"\/\/tecnologiaparalaindustria.com\/en\/condition-monitoring-equipment-that-improves-the-efficiency-of-field-maintenance-work\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><b>condition monitoring technologies<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and axle alignment with which they have been equipped, but are still hobbled by a lack of proper communication.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"alert alert-warning\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Most of the <\/span><a href=\"\/\/tecnologiaparalaindustria.com\/en\/pasos-para-actualizar-tu-programa-de-mantenimiento-predictivo-industrial-y-mejorar-la-rentabilidad-del-departamento\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><b>maintenance programmes<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> They have no plans, no KPIs, and little appreciation from superiors about the organisation for their achievements. Some managers believe that predictive maintenance staff have an easy job because some of their work is done in air-conditioned spaces, in front of computers monitoring and analysing.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is unfortunate that some still doubt the reported findings because the asset is apparently working perfectly well when the recommendation was made to repair something that is apparently not damaged and we can now detect a potential failure long before it starts to manifest itself and thus plan the resources of the maintenance department much better.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This translates into better management, which obviously has a positive impact on the department's bottom line.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><b>Not only people are interconnected, but assets will be too.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Now it is easy to imagine an interconnected plant where machines \"talk\" to each other and diagnose problems on their own. But is this kind of communication technology happening in most plants, or is it still just a dream? The truth is that many maintenance managers still use a document-based system as a method of data collection in their maintenance programmes. It is now possible to monitor a whole plant with the <\/span><a href=\"\/\/tecnologiaparalaindustria.com\/en\/tecnologias-de-monitoreo-de-condiciones-y-mantenimiento-predictivo-como-justificar-su-inversion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><b>onlin condition monitoring technologies<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">e.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Within the next three years, many plant managers plan to have analytical software, tablets, wireless connectivity for field workers, and predictive maintenance intelligence embedded in equipment from condition monitoring and vibration analysis solution providers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We believe we are on the verge of a substantial change in predictive maintenance technologies. Based on improvements in technology and trends in the industry we are about to see a consolidation of predictive maintenance technologies. <\/span><a href=\"\/\/tecnologiaparalaindustria.com\/en\/tecnologias-de-mantenimiento-predictivo-de-que-forma-estan-siendo-implantadas-hoy-en-dia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><b>predictive maintenance technologies<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"alert alert-warning\" style=\"font-weight: 400;\">More and more companies want simpler equipment, especially vibration equipment, so they can have their own staff collecting data with an external service provider analysing and reporting.<\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Technologies are becoming less expensive in terms of the need for capital investment, and more capable and user-friendly in terms of hardware and software.
